ABOUT JANET FRAZIER
I am a licensed marriage & Family Therapist (MFT) with a private practice in Anaheim Hills, and have worked in this community for over 22 years. I earned my doctorate in Public Health (DrPH) with an emphasis on stress and health from Loma Linda University, and my Masters in Counseling from CSU Fullerton. I regularly treat clients dealing with anxiety, depression, mood-swings, partner or parenting issues, and substance abuse. I counsel adolescents, adults, couples, and families.
As a DrPH, I also provide specialized counseling to clients with diagnoses that improve with behavioral and lifestyle changes. I see clients with stress related disorders, diabetes, obesity, eating disorders, hypertension, irritable bowel syndrome, pain, and other chronic conditions. I offer workshops for stress reduction, mindfulness, smoking cessation, and compulsive behaviors. I provide comprehensive weight management services, including a program for morbid obesity.
In addition to my work as a clinician, I have been a lecturer in the CSUF Fullerton department of Kinesiology, and in the CSU Fullerton Masters in Counseling program. I have provided continuing education on obesity for California registered nurses and on substance abuse for the American Bar Association.
I have had additional training in Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT) for working with couples, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) for working with difficult emotions and borderline personality disorder.
